The Blackshear Church Of God exists to develop and maintain strong Christian families through a collection of ministries designed to evangelize, strengthen, and disciple families. We are a church moving forward and growing in an ever changing world.
Our mission is to be connected to God, each other and to continue the work of Jesus Christ in His Healing, Restoration, Mercy, Grace, and His Never Ending Love.
To Seek His Face and Grow in His Word.

Day of Compassion

Blackshear Church of God will host their sixth annual Day of Compassion, however the event will be moving to January of the coming year. Since its inception, the event has been held the Saturday before the start of school. As a result of the numerous ministries that have been birthed from the Day of Compassion efforts, and the continued help and resources provided at this time of year, the Blackshear Church of God wishes to expand this ministry.

"Due to the overwhelming response by the community to help our children in need, the Blackshear Church of God has decided to expand the Day of Compassion ministry. the help and support of the community has allowed us to extend our resources to another season of ministry, addressing needs that arise throughout the school year," Day of Compassion Director Amy Evors said.

The Blackshear Church of God will hold Day of Compassion in January 2015. More details will be provided as development grows closer. For more information contact Amy Evors at

He Inhabits the Praises of His People

Sing to the Lord a new song, praise Him in the assembly of His saints.

Let Israel rejoice in Him, their Maker; let Zion's children triumph and be joyful in their King! Let them praise His name in chorus and choir and with dance; let them sing praises to Him with tambourine and lyre! Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their throats and a two edged sword in their hands.

Psalm 149: 1-6

Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the Heavens of His Power.

Psalm 150:1
